1st edition. 4to. Pp ix + 210 + 48pp monochrome halftone photographs. Ochre cloth boards stamped in brown on the spine and upper panel. Cloth marked and rubbed at the extremities. Ink inscription on ffe stating book bought on 1st day of publication. Title page has an inked note 'Hear hear!' next to the quotation 'One may call and justify this to be the best Shire of England' - a sentiment with which one may well concur. 2 early text pages have inke written notes in the margins else Very Good without dust-jacket.
